Why Do Webinar Show Rates Suck?
A lot of Fitness Businesses and Medical Practices are doing a lot more Webinars right now as a way to generate leads.
If you’re not… You should!
This is a strategy I teach in my Dramatic Impact Story Academy because doing live seminars or live webinars is one of the best ways to grow your business.
And since right now we can’t physically be around people, webinars are the next best thing.
The problem is that you are LUCKY to get a 10% show up rate to your webinars.
So you spend tons of time and money creating and promoting the webinar, only to have a handful of people show up.

One of our current clients came to us because on her first webinar she had 300 registrations but only 18 people show! That’s a 6% show rate. And that was with text and email automations in place.
Then our team stepped in to make PHONE CALLS. Yes the old fashioned way of connecting with people.
You see a lot of digital marketers want you to believe that all you have to do is setup a beautiful funnel then automate emails and text reminders and POOF like magic you’ll get an amazing show rate...
Hate to break it to you… but that is complete BS.
On the most recent webinar we had 52 show up… from 324 registrations. That’s almost three times the original webinar…
So what was the difference?
I dug into the stats.
My team called all 324 leads. We spoke ON THE PHONE with 43% of the them, confirming they would be attending the webinar and getting a verbal commitment from them. (important point). The rest we left voicemails and sent texts since we weren't able to get them on the phone.
Here are the results.
28% of the people we spoke to attended the webinar.
But only 7% of the others who received a voicemail, text and the standard reminder emails.
This is classic human psychology in action!
When someone makes a verbal promise to another person they are more likely to follow through on that promise. If all you do is send a voicemail messages a text messages and a few emails you will get ghosted!

- IMMEDIATELY (within 20 minutes) respond to your webinar leads (you’ll get more people on the phone this way too.
- Confirm their registration and get a verbal promise to be on the webinar
That’s it.
However, if you find you’d rather put a hot poker stick in your eye than call 324 people who register for your webinar.
